Are you looking to learn from home, learn from work or learn at your own convenience? Then sign up to one of PDUK's new elearning courses. No more than two hours long, these online courses will be either stand alone or designed to introduce you to a range of our scheduled and in-house courses and they'll give you CPD hours for your portfolio.

Our step-by-step guide to iPDUK

  • Step 1. Browse
    Look through our list of eLearning courses; feel free to try out the short taster session.
  • Step 2. Buy
    Click on the 'Buy this course' button and purchase the course with your credit card using our secure online payment system. Our password system will allow you to access the course from any computer with internet access.
  • Step 3. Learning pace
    You will have up to 30 days from your date of purchase to complete the course. When you have completed an hour long course, you will need a minimum of 8/10 correct multiple choice answers to receive certification. For a ninety minute course, the minimum requirement is 12/15. If you fail to gain the correct number of answers, you have the opportunity to repeat that section of the course until you are able to reach the minimum requirement.
  • Step 4. Certification
    Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be issued with a certificate which you can download to your computer and print out. This can then be added to your portfolio. iPDUK courses can contribute to your annual CPD requirements.

The First Steps in Recognising the Acutely Ill Child - FREE COURSE

This FREE course looks at the initial core skills needed for assessing severity of illness in the sick child. It covers common symptoms to look out for and diagnostic examination methods. It is a guide upon which further practitioner skills and confidence can be developed.

Included are interactive activities and games to aid learning, along with images and glossary. To receive your certificate you MUST CORRECTLY ANSWER 4 OUT OF 5 QUESTIONS in the final examination. The exam will reappear until a passing grade is achieved.

Immunisation Update e-Learning Course

In line with the HPA National Minimum Standards for Immunisation Training

This course covers adult and childhood immunisations, medicines management as well as the legal and professional issues of immunisation. It is suitable for practitioners who are qualified to immunise and already do so. Ideal for meeting yearly update CPD requirements.

A final examination will take place on completion of this course.To receive your certificate you MUST CORRECTLY ANSWER 8 OUT OF 10 QUESTIONS in the final examination. The exam will reappear until a passing grade is achieved.

Skin Infections - Part One e-Learning Course

This course covers an introduction to bacterial, viral and fungal skin conditions that patients frequently suffer from. Coverage includes a variety of causative agents, including those of the staph, herpes and tinea groups.

An Introduction to Paediatric Minor Injuries

An introductory course that looks at the assessment and management of some of the most common paediatric minor injuries seen in Urgent Care, Minor Injury Units and Emergency Departments. This course is designed as a brief overview of minor injuries that are commonly presented in children. It covers the fundamentals of history taking and documentation, examination techniques, management of foreign bodies and the most common minor injuries including burns, head, face and hand injuries.
