  • Review basic ear anatomy and physiology.
  • Discuss the importance of preventative care and patient health promotion
  • Differentiate between normal and abnormal ear presentations
  • Show safe and competent use of basic aural care instruments for aural toilet, the removal of wax and ear irrigation
  • Be aware of risks and complications of the above procedures.
  • Practice documentation of findings.
  • Discuss legal and professional accountability.
